Corky 'The Cat' (as nicknamed by Eurosport's Carlton Kirby) spent 3 years training and sold the family home back in 2013 to fulfil his dream of competing in the Dakar Rally. His 1st attempt in 2015 ended suddenly at the end of day 4 with a crash resulting in a few broken bones. He returned in 2016 where a mechanical problem finally saw him exit the event at the end of day 12. Go Trail Riding was set up to help get raise the funds needed for Corky to reach his Everest. He is back in training and hoping to return to the start line in 2019

Rally Navigation Course

If your looking into taking part in a rally, raid, or other road book event then it's imperetive to understand the principles of road book navigation. Our course is available any day of the week for just £40.

The day starts with an overview of how all the systems work individually and collectively, and how to avoid the common pitfalls of navigation. Once happy the rider(s) are sent out on their own on a route which takes in some stunning sea view locations, with a good mix of all types of terrain including some challenging hill climbs.

Whilst out you have the security of knowing that we are a phone call away with the rescue vehicle if needed. We will also give you a spot satellite device in case of emergency. On your return to HQ we go through the tips on marking road books and answer any remaining questions you may have.

B&B rates if you need to stay over are £30 a night. If you wish to make a weekend out of your visit by joining us after for one our 2 day adventures we can arrange that no problem. Click here for more info.

All bikes for the course need a road book and trip meter, and at least 14litres of fuel autonomy. We would recommend buying your Navigation gear from Rally-Raid Products.
